Mindfulness-based stress reduction – MBSR – is often most effective for the individual when practiced in a group. The group format provides reliable support, accountability, and opportunities engagement with new perspectives on the practice. Whether for a company, organization, school, or health agency, I create and facilitate a specifically tailored MBSR program to meet the issues and goals of the group.

I bring a secular, creative approach to meditation that integrates mindful breathing techniques, conscious movement, body scans, and reflection. This provides a multimodal method for participants to engage in mindfulness in the way that suits them best. I draw from the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, Tara Brach, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Sharon Salzberg.

With a realistic yet evidence-based program of mindfulness for busy, multitasking lives, I relate to clients in the context of their own lifestyle challenges, without rigid dogma or a one-size-fits-all curriculum. I encourage use of technologies to support mindfulness practice, such as apps and social media, and make a point of getting to know each group member so as to best facilitate his or her evolving practice.

My rates for group MBSR programs vary based on group size, the needs of the organization I am serving, and the duration of the course I design to meet those needs.

If you are interested in joining an MBSR group I am leading at Metrowest Neuropsychology in Westborough, please submit your information on the Contact page and I will be in touch as soon as possible.
